Simon Meehan
Simon Meehan is the Content Strategy Director at Brentford Football Club. He and his team are responsible for the content posted across the club’s digital channels with the objective of growing the fanbase, engaging audiences and telling the stories of Brentford FC, its players, fans and communities.
Prior to working at Brentford, Simon was Head of Publishing at Chelsea Football Club and previously worked at the sports content agency Twenty3 and on football documentaries with the production company House of Greenland. He was also a writer for the Scottish football periodical Nutmeg Magazine and has been published on the topic of digital content in The Guardian newspaper.
This followed a 12-year career outside of football, working as a political adviser in the European Parliament in Brussels before moving into corporate affairs with Google and the Indian conglomerate Tata Group.
