
David Tryhorn
David is an award-winning sports documentary director and producer, who has directed, produced and executive produced projects for Netflix, Amazon, Universal Pictures and Sky Documentaries. His first feature, Crossing the Line, won Best Documentary at the 2017 British Sports Journalism Awards. In 2019, he was supervising producer on Andy Murray: Resurfacing for Amazon Prime. The following year, he set up and executive produced Amazon Prime’s first foray into the Brazilian market with All or Nothing: Brazilian National Team. David then directed and produced the Grierson shortlisted Pelé for Netflix in 2020 and, after consulting on Netflix’s Neymar: The Perfect Chaos, he directed the acclaimed The Figo Affair, a number one documentary for Netflix in Spain and nominated for a Broadcast Sport Award in 2022. He most recently produced Deadline Day for Sky and Mark Cavendish: Never Enough for Netflix and is producing two further feature documentaries for Netflix due for release later this year.
