Chris began his career at the Premier League and went onto work in senior digital roles at the International Cricket Council, BBC Sport and Nielsen Sports. Since 2018, he has run his own consultancy business, C J Hurst Consultancy, and was named as Consultant of the Year at the Sports Industry Awards in 2025. He has also sat on the board of the Women’s Sport Trust since 2017 and leads on their research work. In 2025, he was named in the RAISE 100 Women’s Sport Champions – the Power 100 in Women’s Sport.
