Anouk Mertens
Anouk Mertens is a media executive, producer and strategist with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of sport, television and digital media. She has held senior leadership roles across broadcasting, streaming and content production, including as VP Television at Telenet (Liberty Global), COO and Chief Content Officer at ELEVEN Sports (now DAZN), and Managing Director Audiovisual at Sanoma.
As Co-Founder and CEO of NEO Studios, she led the UK production of the Emmy Award-winning series Welcome to Wrexham, as well as projects with clubs including Benfica and athletes such as Thomas Müller. She also served as Executive Producer of The Time Is Now, featuring Bukayo Saka and Thierry Henry for Meta.
Throughout her career, Anouk has worked across commissioning, rights, production and distribution, collaborating with broadcasters, streamers, rights holders, clubs, leagues, brands and athletes. Alongside her production work, she serves as Chair of the Board of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund (VAF), helping support the continued growth and international ambition of the screen industries.
